Kevin Davies will take over as player/manager until a suitable replacement can be found according to the article. Although Davies could be given the role full time. The news comes after a bit of a tiff developed when Freedman told Davies he would not be offered a new contract with Bolton Wanderers. Following this news Kevin Davies was interviewed live on Talk Sport where he made it clear how he felt about the way things were handled. Then, Phil Gartside took to the air to defend the club in a twenty minute interview, followed a day later by Freedman's own interview at a press conference. Freedman is now seemingly out of the picture and Phil Gartside said, "We have given Kevin everything he wanted." Read Article here! Recently I have not been able to get to as many games as usual and when I am out of town it's not even possible to get radio commentary. But my favourite footy forum once again has it covered. Live chat during pretty much every game lets me follow the action as if I am there (or as good as it can be)! Don't believe me? Check out the two live chats below One is of the text commentary from The Official Bolton News page and the other is the Bolton Nuts live chatbox feature. Take a look and then tell me you think the Bolton News live commentary is really worth following! Each screenshot below shows the dramatic last 3 minutes of Bolton's win over Blackburn. I thought the Bolton Nut's one really captured the drama of the closing stages and was worth sharing. The Bolton Nuts chatbox feed can be quite entertaining at times and often goes into a lot of detail to describe events unfolding on the pitch. It's also fun to join in even if you have got te radio on in the background yourself. Bolton News Text Commentary Here: Bolton Nuts Live Chatbox feature: (last 3 mins Bolton 1 Blackburn 0 highlights) (red = match description, other comments are from members on the site) So, if you ever can't make it to the game in person, and you can't find it on the radio then try http://forum.boltonnuts.co.uk - that is where I will be. Even if you do have it on your radio it's a great place to be because anyone can join in and give their view. You do need to join though to get on the site, but it's free always and there are no adverts on the site when you are logged in.
Bolton Wanderers are having quite an active January transfer window this time around and with what seems to be a more transparent edge to it. In recent years I had become accustomed to not hearing any transfer news at all (or that is how it felt) until deadline day. It used to infuriate me that other teams seemed to know what they were doing, who they were after, how much they were going to pay and they would have it done and dusted while Owen Coyle was still in his pyjama shorts.
