Former Wanderers trainee Lee Pryers, aged 31, was found dead at his flat on Tuesday last week. Lee was well known by many locals and made his mark in football appearing for local clubs Fleetwood, Chorley, Radcliffe Borough and others during his time as a player. The recent out pouring of grief over the broken leg suffered by Chung Yong Lee has really made me think about some people's perspective on life. Bolton's Chung Yong Lee suffered a broken leg and will miss the majority of next season. Lee Pryers has sadly passed away and will never play football again.
The way some people have reacted to Chung Yong's injury is as if someone has died. The fact is, the Bolton winger will get 12 months off work and be paid hundreds of thousands of pounds in the process by the club. It's not a bad deal really is it? Lee Pryers was given a one minute applause before Bolton's away friendly match at Oldham on Saturday as a mark of respect. Bolton Wanderers offered their condolences to Lee's family. The cause of Lee's death is not yet known. Too many people think that football is the most important thing in the world and pay too little attention to what is going on around them. Fans idolise players too much at times and think a certain signing or an injury is the be all and end all. I just hope this article makes some people think about what is really important in life. 31 is no age to be taken away from your loved ones. May he rest in peace.
