Bolton Wanderers grabbed a draw today at Maccelsfield. After the first 8 minutes, with Bolton in the lead and comfortable, it looked like it could be a walk in the park. It turned out to be anything but.
Macclesfield pulled back a goal and ended up having the best of the chances for a good portion of the match. Midway into the second half they went 2-1 up and had Bolton on the back foot. Then a cross from Petrov and a header from Wheater put Bolton back on level terms. Wanderers had chances to go on and win the game including a Petrov free kick which rattled the cross bar late on. After the game many Bolton fans will turn to internet message boards and forums to discuss the game and air their views. Rumours abound that long time Bolton Wanderer Kevin Davies has been told by the Bolton boss he is free to leave in the January transfer window. Only time will tell if the news is accurate though.
The Bolton striker has suffered a dip in form and has been left out of the team more and more in recent weeks. If Kevin Davies is prepared to take a drop in wages and move out of the top flight he could be tempted by a move to Sheffield United or the USA. Davies would be allowed to leave for less than 1 million pounds if an offer came in. Source of the story here: http://566879.xobor.com/f2-Bolton-Wanderers-Banter.html |
