Bolton Wanderers have released or lost the services of (etc) 15 or more players since their relegation from the Premier League a couple of months ago. Reo Coker wanted out, Jussi turned down a new contract, we gave Steinsson the boot, three loan players went home, Klasnic chose not to stay, Greg Wylde is still not eligible to play, Muamba became a doctor (sort of) and Wheater decided to take a season off with some injury or other. We still don't know when Holden will be fit again and we may yet lose other players as clubs look to swoop on us. That is just a few of the Wanderers squad who have departed in one sense or another in recent weeks.
(See the full squad list and article here) So far we have brought in just one player, Keith Andrews, who looks set to be another disciplinary nightmare after his two yellow cards saw him take an early bath from his recent Euro outing with the Republic of Ireland. Wanderers have been linked with a number of useful players but have only confirmed a single signing. Of course there is time yet but is this set to be another, of what we have come to see as, typical Wanderer's transfer windows?

Since when did Bolton Wanderers sign Mr Tickle from the Mr Men? Check out the arms of Alonso and Eagles on the official photo released by the club to promote our new 2012/13 Adidas home shirt. Is it a silly error by the designer? Is it an optical illusion? Or have some of Bolton's players actually grown longer limbs since their recent relegation? You can definitely be forgiven for thinking that these guys might be snapped up by Mr Men FC in the near future (in fact, I think Click Lancashire might be breaking the story right now). Let me know if you had noticed the ultra long arms and tell us what you think they are for. This should definitely go down as a Photoshop fail on one of those 'fail' websites in my opinion. If it's not a mistake though I reckon Eagles would stand a good chance as a replacement for our dearly departed Jussi in goal. In other news if you didn't already know Bolton have signed Zat Knight for another season, Matt Mills (defender) on loan with an option to buy and are due to announce the arrival of Republic of Ireland International Keith Andrews who has snubbed a move to Celtic. Andrews left the recent Euro tournament on a low note after being red carded for two bookable offences. Bolton Wanderers have revealed a brand new kit for the coming Championship season. A simple design by Adidas sporting the usual 188 BET logo, of course. The design can be seen in full if you click the image to the left!
